About
I turn strategy into results on the ground, across markets I do not directly control.
I have spent more than fifteen years leading businesses across Asia in food and consumer goods, ten of them in general management. My foundation has always been the commercial side of the business, and my specialism is revenue growth management. I have owned a regional P&L across twenty three markets, scaled a distribution business from eighteen to one hundred and fifty million dollars, and built that revenue growth capability from nothing, twice. The roles have changed but the work underneath has not. It is about turning a strategy into something a real team can run in a real market.
What I am best at is the translation. I take a purpose and a plan and turn them into the everyday behaviour and the numbers that follow, across many markets at once, usually through people I do not directly control. That work lives in the messy middle between the boardroom and the shop floor. It is less glamorous than the strategy deck and far more important, and it is where I am most at home.
I am based in Singapore and I work across Asia. I lead in plain language, I build trust quickly, and I care as much about the people delivering the result as the result itself. I would rather be useful than impressive.
How I work
I start by listening and reading the numbers before I have an opinion worth sharing. I would rather spend a week understanding your business than walk in with a borrowed framework and a fixed answer.
Then I get specific. I find the few moves that matter, I work with your team rather than around them, and I leave you better able to run it yourselves. The job is done when you do not need me anymore.
Outside the work
Away from work I am a father, a keen follower of where food and drink is heading, and a quiet enthusiast for good wine. I like understanding why people buy what they buy, which turns out to be useful for the day job too.
If any of this sounds like the help you need, I would be glad to talk.
